From Food Truck to Springfield’s Filipino Favorite

Our journey began in 2024 when we launched The Lumpia House as a mobile food truck, introducing Springfield and Central Illinois to authentic Filipino street food. What started as a dream to share our culture's flavors quickly became a community favorite. In February 2025, we opened our brick and mortar restaurant at 1731 S MacArthur Blvd, making authentic Filipino cuisine more accessible to all of Central Illinois.

Authentic Filipino Flavors With a Modern Twist

Our menu honors both traditional Filipino recipes passed down through generations and contemporary interpretations that appeal to diverse palates. Every dish—from our signature lumpia to our aromatic adobo—tells a story of Philippine culinary heritage, family traditions, and the warm hospitality that defines Filipino culture. We're proud to be Springfield's destination for authentic Filipino food, serving our community with the same care and passion that brought us here.

Myrna and Rolando spent decades caring for others as nurses—comforting, healing, and putting people first. They always dreamed of sharing Filipino food in the same spirit, and when the time was right, Myrna paused her nursing career and Rolando retired from his IT executive role to chase that dream together.

Serving Comfort, Joy, and a Taste of Home

The Lumpia House is their new way of caring: serving food that brings comfort, joy, and a taste of home. Just like in nursing, their mission hasn't changed—help people, make them happy, and serve with heart.
